This article comes from the corporate IT magazine PC World, so they have some security concerns. The author discusses whether proxies are necessary or evil. One “expert” discusses the “bad” people that can use proxies to hide their real identity. They had another call him out and say it is just foreign kids wanting internet access. I agree with the second expert.

You have to be living under a rock to not have heard that Sarah Palin’s Yahoo! email account was hacked through a proxy. The hacker was pretty sloppy and left clues for the FBI to follow. CNET News has a little report. Follow the links in the story to get the specifics.

Glype 1.0 has been in beta for about 6 months. A few days ago Nick release Glype 1.0 final. There a boat load of improvements. The thing that stuck out for me was changes to the theme system. I will be updating the Underground theme in the near future.
